MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006908 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'gas cylinder transportation assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Aishna Mahajan; Satish Kumar; Shivansh; and Shrestha Pratap Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A gas cylinder transportation assistive device comprises of a U-shaped frame 1 positioned on a ground surface, a pair of L-shaped handles 15 gripped by a user for maneuvering the frame 1 on the ground surface via a set of omnidirectional wheels 3, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting height of the user, an oxygen leak detector positioned on the member 2 detects leakage of oxygen gas from the cylinder, a touch enabled screen 4 to give input commands regarding a location up-till which the cylinder is to be transported within the hospital, a camera 5 for detecting dimensions of the cylinder, a C-shaped unit 6 constructed with multiple of extendable plates 7, configured with the member 2 via a telescopically operated link 8 to extend for positioning the unit 6 in contact with the cylinder, and motorized hinges 9 to tilting the plates 7 towards or away from each other."
