MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019752 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'gas cylinder securing device for four-wheeler vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Naresh Pratap; and Dr. Ajay Singh.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A gas cylinder securing device for four-wheeler vehicles, comprising a platform 1 having a hollow cylindrical member 2 that holds and secures a gas cylinder, a camera 3 for capturing multiple images of cylinder, a motorized sliding unit 5 for translating multiple telescopically operated links 4 attached with a set of curve-shaped units 6 for gripping cylinder, an inductive capacitive sensor for detecting material type of surface, electromagnets 7 for affixing platform to the surface in case detected material is metal, suction cups 8 for fixing the platform on the surface in case of non-metallic material, a gas leak detector 9 for detecting leakage in the cylinder, a speaker 10 to alert the user regarding the detected leakage, a temperature sensor 11 detects the temperature of the surroundings, a peltier unit for maintaining an optimum temperature, and a pressure sensor for detecting amount of pressure applied for gripping the cylinder."
