MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022358 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'garment display device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A garment display device comprises of, a platform 1 developed to be arranged on a fixed surface, multiple suction units is installed on the platform 1 to adherence the platform 1 with the fixed surface, a vertical rod 2 placed centrally on the platform 1 and integrated with a pair of motorized sliders to translate of multiple horizontal plates 3 mounted on the sliders, rotating circular disc arranged on each of the plates 3 to accommodate a garment which are to be displayed, an electromagnetically operated spring configured with each of plates, to secures the garment hung on the disc, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 4 mounted on the frame to check/buy any of the displayed garment(s)."
