MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113821 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'garbage management device.'
Inventor(s) include Monika Bhattu; Shruti Thakur; Nitu Rani; and Printy Dhadwal.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A garbage management device comprises of a cylindrical body 101 to be positioned on a fixed surface, the plurality of suction cups 102 to secure the body 101 on the surface, a microphone 103 to provide input command to open the body 101, a motorized lid 104 to open, a chamber 105, housed with a motorized roller 106 wrapped with plurality of trash bags, once the lid is opened, a sliding lid 107 to open, unrolling a predetermined length of the trash bag, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 108, to detect the free end of the unwrapped bag, based on the detected free end, a plurality of motorized clamps 109 to grip and stretch the mouth portion of the bag and a motorized slider 110 to move the clamps 109 upward, creating space for the user to dispose of garbage into the bag."
