MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441105207 A) filed by Genrobotic Innovations Private Limited, Alappuzha, Kerala, on Dec. 31, 2024, for 'gait training system with adjustable height orthotic exoskeletons.'

Inventor(s) include Mk, Vimal Govind; P, Jaleesh; K, Sujodh; and NP, Nikhil.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A gait training system (100) includes a main frame (102), a back support frame (104), a pair of orthotic exoskeletons (106) and an adjustable support mechanism (108). Each of the pair of orthotic exoskeletons (106) is mounted on the main frame (102) and is coupled to the back support frame (104) to provide orthosis. The adjustable support mechanism (108) is integrated in each of the pair of orthotic exoskeletons (106) and includes a driving component (204) and an adjusting component (206), operatively engaged with each other. The adjusting component (206) extends linearly along a length within each of the pair of orthotic exoskeletons (106), where the movement of the driving component (204) causes the adjusting component (206) to actuate in a linear motion in each of the pair of orthotic exoskeletons (106) to adjust the height thereof."
