MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547069336 A) filed by Uclswift Co. Ltd., Daejeon, Republic of Korea, on July 21, 2025, for 'fusion splicer having cable guide.'
Inventor(s) include Jun, Kun-Ik; and Jun, Sang-Chul.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a fusion splicer having a cable guide, and more specifically to a fusion splicer having a cable guide that allows fusion to be stable, the cable guide being detachably and horizontally installed on a side of a fusion splicer to allow the cutting surface of an optical fiber to be positioned and fixed horizontally so that a cable, one end of which is placed on an optical fiber fixing part, does not sag or bend in the lengthwise direction to cause the cutting surface of the optical fiber to be lifted up from the optical fiber fixing part and give rise to problems such as suspension of the fusion process."
