MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017965 A) filed by Panjab University; and Vaxine Pty Ltd, Chandigarh, Punjab, on March 12, 2024, for 'functionalized imidazoquinoline derivatives modulating tlr7/8 activity and vaccine performance.'
Inventor(s) include Kumar, Kushvinder; Sihag, Binita; Kaushik, Deepender; Patil, Madhuri T.; Sakala, Isaac; Honda-Okubo, Yoshikazu; Petrovsky, Nikolai; and Salunke, Deepak B.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses the new vaccine formulation of TLR7/8 agonists with alum to improve the performance of the vaccine. In particular, the present invention relates to the preparation of functionalized polyphenolic as well as polyhydroxy imidazoquinoline compounds with TLR7 specific as well as dual TLR7/8 agonistic activity along with their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, prodrug, solvate, or combination thereof along with the method of its preparation and use as vaccine adjuvants."
