MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421047754 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Bombay, Maharashtra, on June 21, 2024, for 'functional ink composition.'

Inventor(s) include Bhargava, Parag Kishore; Negi, Seema; Singh, Shweta; and Pareek, Shiwani.

The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to formulation of functional inks that are stable in temperature and humidity fluctuations as well as in ambient conditions. The functional ink composition developed in the present invention offers important improvements compared to several known ink formulations, especially in terms of drying behavior, conductivity, and efficiency of material usage. The ink composition of the present invention a conductive powder solvents, surfactants/dispersants, and binders are formulated to enable drying on a variety of surfaces within 10 to 60 seconds of application with good conductivity."
