It comprises a host vehicle speed determination unit (102) configured to provide a speed signal (SS) indicative of the current host vehicle speed. According to the invention also a transmission control unit (104) is provided configured to provide a transmission closure request (CR) for closing a clutch (162) of the vehicle when the host vehicle speed is below the minimum threshold speed and that an acceleration request (AR) has been provided; and a cruise control reactivation unit (106) configured to receive the current speed signal and to provide a reactivation signal (RS) for activating the limited speed range cruise control when the current host vehicle speed is greater than the minimum threshold speed."
