Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Fuel Pump Assembly' Filed by Cummins Inc.

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202347040550 A) filed by Cummins Inc., Columbus, U.S.A., on June 14, 2023, for 'fuel pump assembly.'

Inventor(s) include Benson, Donald J.; Benham, Eric A.; Sabri, Ahmad M; and Magnuson, Samuel David Griffith.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pumping assembly includes at least one removable unit barrel pumping assembly coupled to a housing of the pumping assembly. The pumping assembly further includes a drive member having a roller configured to engage a portion of the unit barrel pumping assembly during operation of the pumping assembly. The roller is configured to include a plurality of geometric shapes to distribute load forces during operation of the pumping assembly."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 18, 2020, under International application No.PCT/US2020/060934.
