MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024684 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'fuel-consumption reduction device for trolley vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Jaydip Kumar; and Dr. Ashutosh Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A fuel-consumption reduction device for trolley vehicles, comprising a platform 1 installed over wheels of a trolley attached with a vehicle, a computing unit accessed by a user to give input commands for securing platform 1 with trolley, an electromagnet 2 adheres platform 1 with trolley in a secured manner, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 detects level of snow on ground surface, a curved-shaped member 4 constructed with plurality of curved-shaped extendable plates 5 and a rack and pinion gear arrangement 7 translates link 6 along with member 4 away from platform 1, plurality of motorized hinges 8 tilt plates 5 towards/away from each other to position member 4 underneath wheel to allow trolley to slide via member 4 and prevent fuel consumption for rotation of wheels, and plurality of flaps are deployed by plurality of motorized pivot joints to orient trolley with vehicle."
