MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411007027 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'fruit bunch hanging device.'

Inventor(s) include Alok; Gunjan Sinha; Bhiwani; Rahul; and Niharika.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A fruit bunch hanging device, comprises of a circular platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface installed with an elongated member 2 attached with a ring 3, multiple cuboidal blocks 4 installed with ring 3 via strips 5 enabled a user to engage bunch of fruits, a camera 6 to detect dimension of fruit's bunch, a motorized slider 7 configured between each of blocks 4 and strips 5 for gripping fruits between blocks 4 and ring 3, a weight sensor to detect weight of bunch, multiple hinges configured between plates to tilt the plates towards/away from each other for balancing the weight of fruits' bunch, a microphone 8 accessed by a user to provide voice input regarding one the bunch required by the user and the slider 7 according translates the detected block to release the bunch of fruit."
