MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058991 A) filed by Posco Co. Ltd., Gyeongsangbuk, Republic of Korea, on June 19, for 'frame for electric vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Gyu-Min; Lee, Hong-Woo; Kim, Jaehyun; and Kim, Hwi-Geon.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a frame for an electric vehicle. The frame for an electric vehicle, according to an embodiment of the present invention, having defined therein a battery space in which batteries are located, comprises: a side frame which is located at a part of the periphery of the battery space, includes a first hollow portion having a closed section, and extends in a first direction that is the lengthwise direction of the vehicle; and a reinforcement portion which is located in the first hollow portion and has a surface formed in a second direction that is the width direction of the vehicle."
