MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074653 A) filed by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc., Tokyo, on Aug. 6, for 'fragrance composition, and method for producing 1-ethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid ester.'
Inventor(s) include Shishimi Toru; Ohno Satoshi; and Kashiwagi Yuki.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: a fragrance composition containing a 1-ethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid ester represented by general formula (1) as an active ingredient; a use of a 1-ethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid ester as a fragrance ingredient; and a method for producing a 1-ethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid ester. The fragrance composition contains, as an active ingredient, a 1-ethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid ester that can impart a herbal aroma and can achieve aroma diffusibleness, and therefore has excellent herbal flavor and aroma diffusibleness. (In formula (1), R1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.)."
