MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537084166 A) filed by Snf Group, Andrezieux-Boutheon, France, on Sept. 4, for 'fracturing fluid comprising a polymer in a crystalline form of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulphonic acid sodium salt and hydraulic fracturing method.'

Inventor(s) include Favero, Cedrick; Legras, Benoit; and Kieffer, Johann.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a fracturing fluid comprising at least one proppant and at least one water-soluble polymer obtained from the crystalline form of 2-acrylamido-2- methylpropanesulphonic acid sodium salt ATBS.Na. The invention also relates to a method for preparing said fluid, as well as to a hydraulic fracturing method using said fluid."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 13, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/056678.
