MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026098 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'fractured hand support and rehabilitation device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramandeep Saini; Rupinder Kaur Tiwana; Roopika Malhotra; Harshit; and Priyanshu.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A fractured hand support and rehabilitation device comprise of a circular wearable body 1 to accommodate around waist portion of a user having a cuboidal member 5 to rest fractured hand on the body 1, a strap 8 for securing the user's hand with the member 5, a microphone 7 to give voice commands for securing the body 1 with the user's waist potion, laser sensors for detecting dimensions of the user's waist portion, an inflatable unit 2 paired with an air compressor 9 for inflating the unit in view of gripping the body 1 with the user's waist portion, an imaging unit 3 for detecting dimensions of the user's hand, an angle sensor for detecting angle of the user's hand with respect to the member 5, and a speaker 4 for notifying the user to maintain an angle of the hand."
