MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641007182 A) filed by Elakkiya Balan; Dr. P. Pattunnarajam; and. Ms. B. Elakkiya, Perumalpattu, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 24, for 'fpga-based intelligent mobility nexus: real-time smart parking and adaptive wireless ev charging system for sustainable campus connectivity.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. P. Pattunnarajam; and. Ms. B. Elakkiya.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An intelligent system for automatic parking control and flexible wireless charging for electric vehicles is disclosed. The system employs distributed sensors to monitor real-time parking occupancy and vehicle presence. An FPGA-based control unit executes multiple parallel finite state machines to perform vehicle identification, dynamic parking-slot allocation, navigation guidance, and safety monitoring. For electric vehicles, an adaptive wireless charging module based on magnetic resonance dynamically selects an optimally aligned transmitter coil to maximize power-transfer efficiency and reduce energy loss. A cloud-based interface provides real-time parking availability, charging status, energy usage, and system monitoring. The proposed system enables efficient parking management, optimized wireless charging, and scalable smart mobility infrastructure, contributing to Sustainable Development Goals SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities)."
