MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012927 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'four-wheeler vehicle towing assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A four-wheeler vehicle towing assistive device, comprises of a cuboidal body 1 positioned on chassis of an auxiliary vehicle being housed with a motorized roller 2 wrapped with a tow strap 3, multiple touch sensors to detect contact of body 1 with the chassis, a motorized clamp 4 to clasp the body 1 with the chassis, a computing unit accessed by a user to provide input commands for unwrapping the strap 3, a camera 5 to detect distance of body 1 from the vehicle that is to be towed, an ultrasonic sensor to detect distance of auxiliary vehicle from the vehicle to be towed, a communication module to notify the user to maintain distance between vehicle for preventing risk of collision, a pair of plates 7 equipped with a pair of inflatable members 9 for absorbing shock and prevent damage to driver/user of vehicles."
