MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024136 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'four-wheeler vehicle protection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A four-wheeler vehicle protection device, comprising two elongated telescopically operated frames 1 attached with two plates 4 that are to be manually engaged by a user with front doors of a four-wheeler vehicle, a computing unit accessed by user for securing bodies with sides of vehicle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 detects length of vehicle and accordingly frames 1 extend for positioning second end 3 of frames 1 towards rear portion, a motorized slider 7 configured between each of frames 1 and multiple members 6 for translating members 6 to maintain an optimum distance between members 6 for preventing any chances of scratches on side, a C-shaped unit 8 is deployed by a motorized hinge for engaging with wheels for locking wheels, a proximity sensor detects any speeding vehicle, and multiple air compressors inflates multiple airbags for absorbing shock on collision."
