MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026187 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'four-wheeler vehicle parking assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Sumika Jain; Vinod Rathi; Ravi Kumar Bhatnagar; and Sunil Gupta.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A four-wheeler vehicle parking assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface in proximity to a four-wheeler vehicle an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing and processing multiple images of surroundings in view of create a 3-D (three-dimensional) mapping, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 3 for maneuvering and positioning the platform 1 in proximity to the rear portion of the platform 1, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 4 attached with a rectangular extendable member 5 for extending member, a pair of motorized sliders 7 for translating the rods 4 away from each other, plurality of electromagnets 8 for adhering the plate, a first plate 9 via an L-shaped telescopically for positioning the plates underneath the vehicle, second plate 11 to lift rear portion of the vehicle, thus nullifying effect of the handbrake."
