MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023163 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 24, 2024, for 'four-wheeler protection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A four-wheeler protection device, comprises of an extendable platform 1 accessed by a user to affix platform 1 over a door of a four-wheeler via multiple suction cups 2, an imaging unit 3 to detect presence of an object on a ground surface, a motorized drawer arrangement 4 to shield the door, a proximity sensor to detect distance of vehicle from the platform 1, a speaker 5 to notify the user regarding detected distance, a motorized sliding unit 6 arranged with a telescopic pusher get positioned in contact with the vehicle for restricting movement of vehicle, a tilt sensor to detect tilting of the four-wheeler, an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 7 configured with a wheel 8 to position the wheel over surface for correcting tilt angle of the four-wheeler, and a curved extendable plate 9 to affix plate 9 with body for restricting opening of door."
