According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Burn is one of the most serious skin-related injuries with high incidence and mortality rates. Burn wound repair is a complex process involving several overlapping phases, including inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. An important factor in the healing of superficial and moderate partial thickness burn is early and effective coverage with a dressing that protects the wound from traurfia and desiccation and is non-adherent. In our country cost is also a very important factor. Banana leaves helps especially in bum wounds as they are traditionally used for dressing. Banana leaf is infused with fenugreek to produce a cream for accelerating the burn wound healing. As fenugreek has antioxidant properties and it also helps wound by keeping it cool. Rather than chemical method, herbal methods by extracting the banana leaf would be environment friendly and cause less damage to skin. The bioactive compounds and properties of fenugreek helps the wound recover fast and scars to fade away."
