MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123824 A) filed by Ms. Pynskhemlin Syiemlieh; Ms. Anitha M R; Ms. Brundha U; Mr. Russell Martin; Dr Venkatesh D P; Mr. Ankit Mondal; Mr. Avik Mukherjee; Mr. A Vijay Venkat Bunny; and Mr. Gundappa S T, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Dec. 9, 2025, for '"formulation herbal anti-acne face serum composition and method for its preparation thereof".'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the field of cosmeceuticals. More particularly, the present invention relates to the formulation and evaluation of an anti-acne face serum containing herbal ingredients such as Salix alba (White Willow) extract and Syzygium aromaticum (Clove) oil, developed as an alternative to synthetic anti-acne formulations. The method for preparing a herbal anti-acne face serum, the said method comprising the steps of: (i) dissolving acacia gum in rose water by homogenization at about 250 revolutions per minute (rpm) until a clear solution is obtained; (ii) adding Salix alba extract in an amount ranging from 5% to 7% by weight and homogenizing until a uniform mixture is obtained; (iii) adding Syzygium aromaticum oil in an amount of about 3% by weight dropwise, followed by homogenization to form an emulsion; (iv) adding Vitamin E in an amount of about 0.5% by weight and subjecting the mixture to homogenization for a period of 30 to 60 minutes; and (v) filtering the resultant emulsion and transferring the obtained serum into an airtight container. to 8."
