MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010129 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 30, for 'forensic investigation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A forensic investigation device comprises a cuboidal structure 101 mounted on motorized omnidirectional wheels 102 to enable precise navigation across varied crime-scene environments, an integrated camera 106 for performing scene mapping and spatial anomaly detection to identify disturbances, unauthorized access paths, and concealed activities, supported by a buzzer 107 for visual monitoring and alerts, a depth sensor and time-of-flight sensors for environment-specific analysis, a motorized tweezer 108 with multiple hinges 109 to enable controlled evidence handling, an AI camera 110 mounted on a dual-axis slider 111 to facilitate detailed inspection and tracking, airflow residue sensing for scene-tampering validation, fingerprint detection and collection utilize optical scanners, electrostatic lifting elements 112, micro-adhesive substrates 113, and labeled micro-containers, footwear impression and micro-trace evidence analysis employ hyperspectral detectors 115 and a precision micro-vacuum gripper 116, all coordinated through a processing module embedded with AI and MLprotocols."
