According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to footwear (100) comprising a system for controlled dispensing of a fluid (200) is disclosed. The footwear includes a reservoir (210) for storing the fluid, a dispensing outlet (220) connected to the reservoir through a fluid conduit (230), a sensor system (300) configured to detect one or more conditions associated with use of the footwear, and a control circuit (310) operatively connected to the sensor. The control circuit is configured to selectively control dispensing of the fluid through the dispensing outlet based on the detected conditions, such that a predetermined quantity of the fluid is released during each activation. The dispensing outlet may comprise a flat or cone-shaped nozzle having an outlet diameter in the range of 0.3 mm to 1.5 mm. The footwear enables automated, condition-based dispensing of fluids including disinfecting or deodorizing liquids."
