MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019321 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'footwear trial assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A footwear trial assistive device includes a platform 1 positioned over ground for accommodating a user wearing footwear to be tested, an imaging unit 3 synced with ultrasonic sensor determines user's height accordingly two bars 4 extends to position and grip user's waist via attached clamps 5, a display-panel 7 accessed by user to select trial mode for testing footwear, in case of walking mode, a conveyor 9 actuates to enable user to walk over a plain surface, in case of elevated mode, hydraulic rods 2 extends to elevate platform 1 from one side to deliver elevated surface to user, in case of rocky mode, blocks 10 mapped over conveyor's 9 belt extends randomly to provide bumpy surface to user for walking, in case of marshy mode, a reservoir 11 configured with nozzles 12 dispense water on platform 1 to deliver a wet surface to user to walk over."
