MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004119 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 20, 2024, for 'footrest of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Nalawade, Sunil Damodar; Arora, Vishal; and Singh, Sunny Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A footrest (100) of a vehicle (200) is disclosed. The footrest (100) includes a support member (1) pivotally coupled to a body frame (17) of the vehicle (200), via a pin (3). The support member (1) is configured to pivotally move between an open condition (5) and a closed condition (6). The footrest (100) further includes an extension member (7), disposed coaxially with the support member (1) and rotatably coupled to the support member (1). The extension member (7) is configured to rotate between an extended position (13) and a retracted position (14). The footrest (100) further includes a first spring (4) configured to keep the support member (1) at the closed condition (6), and a second spring (10) configured to keep the extension member (7) at the retracted position (14)."
