MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020073 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'foot thumb posture correction device.'

Inventor(s) include Shail Dhaka; Anita Rathore; Neha Tyagi; and Jitendra Kumar Singh Jadon.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A foot thumb posture correction device comprises of an elongated body 1 configured with a strap 2 to accommodate around bridge region of a user's foot, a telescopically operated link 3 equipped with a ring 4 to accommodate thumb of the user's foot, a laser sensor mapped on the strap 2 for detecting dimensions of the user's bridge region, a motorized roller 5 configured with sad strap 2 to rotate for wrapping the strap 2 to grip the user's foot within the strap 2, a camera 5 mounted on the body 1 for capturing multiple images of the user's foot, a laser acuity sensor mapped on the ring 4 for detecting diameter of the user's thumb, and a motorized hinge 7 configured between the body 1 and link 3 for tilting the link 3 to tilt the user's thumb away from toes for correcting the posture."
