MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125415 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'food waste management and distribution system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food waste management and distribution system comprising a portable cuboidal structure 101 mounted on motorized wheels 103 and telescopic legs 102 supports a food receiving arrangement 105 positioned on the top side of the structure 101, the food receiving arrangement 105 includes a storage compartment 105a with a motorized sliding gate 105b and vertically mounted cascade sliders 105c for sectioning food, the structure 101 include food type determination sensors to analyze freshness and quality, a processing module controls the operations based on input from an AI camera 104 and a proximity sensor, a temperature-regulating unit using a Peltier unit and temperature sensor preserves food, a food segregation arrangement 106 with a stepper motor-driven extendible link arm 106a and wedge-shaped plate 106c directs food to a dumping and animal food provisioning unit 107 comprising a first chamber 107a and second chamber 107b mounted on a dual-axis slider 107c."
