MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018191 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'food storage and management device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food storage and management device comprising plurality of storage chambers 6 interconnected with each other via strap 5 stored with farm produce, wherein multiple hooks 2 installed on one of the chambers 6 for allowing a user to hang the chambers 6 on a wall manually, a PIR sensor integrated within each chambers 6 to detect presence of insects within the chambers 6, UV sanitization unit 3 installed within the chambers 6 for eliminating the insects within chambers 6, a weight sensor integrated within chambers 6 for detecting weight of the farm produce stored in the chambers 6, a speaker 4 installed on the chambers 6 to notify the user to transfer the fruits or vegetables to another chamber, a sensing module installed within each of the chambers 6 for detecting condition of stored farm produce thereby preventing the user from consuming rotten fruits or vegetables."
