MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022848 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'food items storage assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food items storage assistive device, comprises a cuboidal hollow body 1 positioned on a fixed surface, multiple suction cups 2 grips the fixed surface, a set of extendable plates 3 segregates body 1 into multiple sections, a touch enabled screen 4 enables the user to give input for placing the food items, a motorized door opens to allow user to position food, an imaging unit 5 captures images of the surroundings, a motorized slider translates a plate towards or away from each other, a Peltier unit maintains determined temperature of the sections, an electronic nozzle 6 dispenses the fragrance, ultrasonic emitter 7 emits ultrasonic waves to detect insects."
