MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014278 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'food item storage device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food item storage device, comprising a cylindrical shaped hollow housing 1, plurality of motorized wheels 2 to provide translation to housing 1, plurality of chambers 3 arranged within housing 1 to store food item, an infra-red based temperature sensor to monitor temperature of various regions, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 for capturing images of enclosure, a timer to monitor time duration of stored food item, a touch interactive display panel 5 to display monitored time duration of food items, a lid 6 configured with each of the chambers 3 with a motorized hinge joint 7 to provide accesses to chambers 3, an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 8 installed within each of chamber and a motorized ball and socket joint to provide rotation for rotating food items, a pair of cylinders 9 stored with gas installed with housing 1 for supplying the gas to each chamber."
