MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019720 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'food item crushing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Mohit Rastogi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food item crushing assistive device, comprising a hollow member 1 configured with a first handle 2 and accommodated with food item, a touch enabled screen 3 for inputting pattern of crushing food item, an artificial intelligence based camera 4 mounted over member 1 which detects type of food item, a motor pivoted with two gear attached in between first and a second handle 6 attached with a cylindrical body 5 which provides angular movement to body 5, a clamp 8 clasps and positions one sieve within member 1 adhered by an electromagnet, a helical slider 9 carved over body 5 and configured with four to six motorized balls 10 and also a protrusion configured within member 1 that moves within slider 9 for applying force to crush food, and a tactile sensor detects hardness of food and four pneumatic pins 11 penetrates food item for crushing."
