MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117017 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'food dispensing device.'

Inventor(s) include Umema Ahmed.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food dispensing device, comprising a cylindrical body 101 having plurality of partitioned plates 102 creating a storage space for accommodating various grains, a motorized iris lid 104 installed over the body 101 to open/close the lid 104, an imaging unit 105 integrated within the plates 102 detects presence and weight of grains, an electromagnetic spring configured between the plates 102 to expand/compress to adjust inter plate spacing for proper grain accommodation, a motorized circular slider 106 to circumferentially slide the plates 102 along inner surface of the body 101, a touch interactive display unit 107 to provide input commands regarding quantity of grains to be dispensed, a push button 108 to manually push to dispense the grains, an electronically operated nozzle 109 to dispense particular grain into a common compartment 110 attached underneath the plates 102."
