MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025493 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'food and glass holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Inderpreet Kaur; Dr. Simrat Kaur; Krish Gupta; and Nishant Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food and glass holding device, comprises of a rectangular platform 1 constructed with plurality of extendable plates, a microphone 2 positioned on the platform 1 for enabling the user to give voice commands, plurality of telescopically operated links 3 installed at the cavity for gripping the glass via a suction cup 4, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 mounted on plate for capturing and processing images of the platform 1, plurality of motorized hinges 6 configured between the plates to tilt the plates, a drawer arrangement 7 integrated within the plates to form a groove between the plates, a disc 8 installed with the platform 1 via a telescopically operated rod 9 for placing the platform 1, expandable pulley arrangement 10 integrated within the disc 8 for increasing diameter of the disc 8, a speaker 11 mounted on the platform 1 for notifying the user to discard the food."
