Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Foldable Electronic Device For Controlling Screen Rotation, And Operating Method Therefor' Filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202638026140 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on March 5, for 'foldable electronic device for controlling screen rotation, and operating method therefor.'

Inventor(s) include Jin, Seoyoung; Kwon, Oheon; Sung, Changhuyn; Kang, Seongsig; Lee, Wonhee; and Park, Jeongmin.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In a foldable electronic device of various embodiments of the present invention, the rotational angle of the electronic device is detected using a first sensor arranged in a first housing and/or a second sensor arranged in a second housing, which are selected based on folding angles of the first housing and the second housing, and thus content can be provided according to a situation in which a user uses the electronic device."

The patent application was internationally filed on July 19, 2021, under International application No.PCT/KR2021/009244.
