MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090388 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 22, for 'foldable electronic device comprising hinge structure.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a foldable electronic device and a hinge structure included therein, the foldable electronic device comprising: a display; a first housing and a second housing; at least one hinge structure; and a hinge housing, wherein: the at least one hinge structure comprises a fixed bracket, a first rotating member and a second rotating member which are fastened to one side of the fixed bracket, and a first arm member and a second arm member which are fastened to the other side of the fixed bracket; and the foldable electronic device includes at least one reinforcement structure of the first housing, the at least one reinforcement structure being formed between an area where the hinge housing is seated in the first housing and an area where one end of the hinge structure is seated in the first housing, and at least one reinforcement structure of the second housing, the at least one reinforcement structure being formed between an area where the hinge housing is seated in the second housing and an area where the other end of the hinge structure is seated in the second housing."
