MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547098011 A) filed by Sabic Global Technologies B. V., Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands, on Oct. 10, for 'foamed article with improved surface aesthetics.'

Inventor(s) include Chu, Kar-Man Raymond; Yanev, Angel Stoyanov; Winters, Gertrudis; and Bande Martinez, Daniel.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A process for forming a foamed article including injecting a molten mixture including a foaming agent and a polymer composition into a mold; and solidifying the molten mixture in the mold to form the foamed article, wherein the injecting includes controlling a flow length to thickness ratio of the molten mixture to be less than 160, or less than 120, and controlling an in-mold linear speed of the molten mixture to be 40 to 140 centimeters per second or 50 to 120 centimeters per second."

The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 04, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/059213.
