MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647036218 A) filed by Toray Industries, Inc., Tokyo, on March 25, for 'fluid separation membrane and fluid separation membrane module.'

Inventor(s) include Yahagi Nahoko; Tanimura Yasuaki; and Aoshima Kenta.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention can provide a fluid separation membrane that exhibits a high separation performance and a high durability with an improved brittleness, and relates to a fluid separation membrane that has a separation-functional layer, wherein: the carbon element ratio of the separation-functional layer is 40-98 atom% and the separation-functional layer has, in the interior thereof, voids having an average pore diameter of 3-150 nm."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 11, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/032524.
