MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113531 A) filed by Chitkara University; and Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation, Rajpura, Punjab, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'fluconazole based co-crystals and large scale method of production thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Ritu Rathi; Anju; Ashima Dhiman; Nitin Mehetre; and Dr. Inderbir Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates a large-scale method for production of fluconazole co-crystals using a mechanochemical process and the co-crystals so formed, wherein fluconazole and cocrystal is used in a molar ratio of 1:1."
