MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517062343 A) filed by Hallett's Hay And Seed Ltd., Alberta, Canada, on June 30, for 'flow measuring and metering apparatus for flowable granular solids.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A volumetric flow measuring and metering apparatus for flowable solids has an upright flow passage through which a flow of bulk material can pass. A speed sensor measures a speed of the flow. An actuator controls an obturating device operative relative to a bottom end of the flow passage. A controller receiving speed data from the speed sensor operates the actuator at least in part based on information contained in the speed data in a manner causing the bulk material to flow in the flow passage at a location of the speed sensor in a consolidated column-like flow."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 22, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CA2024/050351.
