MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441010701 A) filed by TVS Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'floorboard assembly for a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Thirunavukkarasu Senthil; Priya Manikandan; and Datta Rajaram Sagare.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present invention provides a floorboard assembly (100) for a vehicle (102). The floorboard assembly (100) comprising one or more guide members (104) mounted on a frame member of the vehicle (102). The one or more guide members (104) are movable between a first position (FP) and a second position (SP). The floorboard panels (106a, 106b) are coupled to the one or more guide members (104). The one or more guide members (104) in the second position (SP) deploy the floorboard panels (106a, 106b) to an extended position (EP). The floorboard panels (106a, 106b) in the extended position (EP) being adapted to protrude beyond a main floorboard (108) along a left-right direction of the vehicle (102). The floorboard assembly (100) in the extended position (EP) enhances space available on the main floorboard (108), thereby enabling a rider to place and transport larger baggage on the vehicle (102)."
