MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011936 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'floating device for waterbody activity.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Santanu Kumar Sahoo.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A floating device for waterbody activity, comprises of a C-shaped member 101 enclosed by a layer of inflatable airbag 102, adapted to be positioned around chest of a user, a curved flap 103 attached underneath the member 101 for enabling a sitting position of the user, a layer of waterproof cushioning provided on the flap 103 for a comfort of the user, a moisture sensor embedded on the flap 103 detects a moisture level, a pair of belt loops 105 installed on the flap 103 for securing the user with respect to the flap 103, a pair C-shaped rods 108, having a canopy 109 attached in between for providing shade to the user, an imaging unit 106, installed on the flap 103 to monitor a position of the user to determine an unsafe position, and a speaker 107 provided on the flap 103 to alarm nearby adults."
