MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022919 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'floatable key holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Manik Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A floatable key holding device, comprising a cylindrical body 1 having a first and second portion integrated with a handle 2 that is accessed by a user for acquiring a grip over the body 1, an extendable U-shaped frame 3 integrated with plurality of hooks 4 arranged on the body 1 for engaging multiple keys in view of securing the keys with the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed on the body 1 to determine length of keys suspended outside the second portion, an inflatable bag 6 attached with the body 1 for allowing the body 1 to float on surface of the waterbody and multiple LEDs (light emitting diodes) 7 arranged on the body 1 to get illuminated to find the body 1 on the water surface."
