MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010366 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 31, for 'fish feeding device.'
Inventor(s) include Sukhdeep Kaur; Ayush Gour; Rajkumar Rajbhar; Deep Dave; and Dr. Sanket Badiyani.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A fish feeding device, comprising a platform 101 to maneuver near a fish pond, a DARPA wheel 104 for forward, lateral, diagonal, and rotational movement across uneven pond edges, a rotary member 105 to rotate a housing 106 for directing feed and viewing angles without moving the base, one or more pneumatic probe 107 to perform underwater sensing at variable depths and angles, an underwater camera 108 to monitor fish activity, count, size, and water conditions, a plurality of environmental sensors to measure ambient temperature, humidity, and light intensity around the pond, a motorized iris opening 109 to hold various feed ingredients for precise ingredient dispensing, a mixing chamber 111 to mix dispensed ingredients with water to form a homogeneous feed mixture, and a pellet-making unit 116 to form pellets of different sizes for various fish breeds."
