Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Fire Suppressant For Secondary Battery, Fire-Suppressing Member For Secondary Battery, And Secondary Battery' Filed by TL Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517039587 A) filed by TL Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on April 24, for 'fire suppressant for secondary battery, fire-suppressing member for secondary battery, and secondary battery.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Sang Cheol; and Choi, Jong Suk.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An embodiment of the present invention provides a fire suppressant, a fire-suppressing member, and a secondary battery comprising same, the fire suppressant comprising: at least one first material having decomposition onset temperatures; and a second material mixed with the first material to bind the first material, wherein the first material can be decomposed, when reaching the decomposition onset temperatures, thereby rendering combustible organic compounds non-combustible."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 12, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/000590.
