MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070645 A) filed by ZF CV Systems Europe BV, Brussels, on Sept. 18, 2024, for 'filter assembly for a segmented drum brake of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Strzala, Wieslaw; Suresh, Anand Kumar; Grig, Artem; and Spuhler, Stefan.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A filter assembly (100) for a segmented drum brake (200) is disclosed. The filter assembly (100) includes a filter housing (110) removably coupled to a portion of an actuator housing (210) of the segmented drum brake (200). A portion of the filter housing (110) is arranged to be received in a groove (202) defined in the actuator housing (210). Further, the filter assembly (100) includes a filter element (120) disposed within the filter housing (110). The filter element (120) being configured to filter air and dust particles generated by the segmented drum brake (200)."
