MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025413 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'film application device for windows.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A film application device for windows, comprises of a C-shaped hollow frame 1 having a handle 2, film roller 3 for applying on the window, pair of motorized wheels 4 for application of the film, smaller tape roller 5 to adhere the tape with an edge of the film, a telescopic arm 6 for extending/retracting clutch 7, the clutch 7 for gripping the edge of the film, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 for recording and processing images in a vicinity of the frame 1, a cutting blade 9 to cut the applied film from the spool, a hinge joint 10 to bring the blade 9 in contact with the film, a speaker unit 11 to notifying the user regarding moving the frame 1 to a next column, a microphone for receiving audio commands from the user."
