MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611027003 A) filed by Fiberise Fit Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, on March 7, for 'fiber-enriched sweetener composition containing resistant dextrin and method for preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a fiber-enriched sweetener composition containing resistant dextrin and a method for preparation thereof. The composition comprises resistant dextrin as a soluble dietary fiber component in an amount ranging from 0.5 g to 10 g per serving and one or more sweetening agents selected from steviol glycosides, monk fruit extract, sucralose, aspartame, saccharin, acesulfame potassium, sugar alcohols, or combinations thereof in an amount ranging from 5 mg to 100 mg. The resistant dextrin and sweetening agents are blended to form a homogeneous sweetener composition capable of providing sweetness along with dietary fiber supplementation when added to foods or beverages. The method of preparation comprises weighing the ingredients, dry blending, homogenizing, particle size optimization, optional granulation, drying, and packaging to obtain a stable formulation in powder, granulated, tablet, or liquid form. The composition provides improved sweetness delivery with dietary fiber incorporation suitable for food and beverage applications."
