MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059224 A) filed by Posco Co. Ltd., Gyeongsangbuk, Republic of Korea, on June 20, for 'ferritic stainless steel.'
Inventor(s) include Kong, Junghyun; Kim, Jonghee; Seo, Bosung; Kim, Jinsuk; and Kwon, Youngjin.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A ferritic stainless steel according to one embodiment of the present invention can be a ferritic stainless steel comprising, by wt%, 0.003-0.02% of C, 0.003-0.02% of N, 0.05-0.5% of Si, 0.1-1.5% of Mn, 19.0-25.0% of Cr, 0.01-2.0% of Mo, 0.05-0.7% of Nb, 0.01-0.2% of Ti and the balance of Fe and other inevitable impurities, and satisfying relation (1): 35= Cr / Mn= 60. Here, Cr and Mn mean the wt% of respective elements."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 04, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/013176.
